Tenders are invited for a 12
month contract worth up to £20,000 to undertake the duties of the
Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences (APS) Chief Scientist role as
detailed in the
job description and specification.
This role
could be undertaken by an individual or by an organisation (e.g.
consultancy). In either case the tender must be backed by extensive
expertise and a comprehensive network in the pharmaceutical sciences.
The APS is the leading organisation for the promotion of the
Pharmaceutical Sciences in the UK. The APS website provides details of
the APS.
Tenders should detail the extent to which the activities listed
in the job description would be addressed during the 12 months of the
contract with the expectation that activities at the top of the list
would be satisfied in full and activities lower down the list would be
addressed on an on-going basis where completion might extend beyond 12
months or might not be commenced in the first 12 months. There is a
possibility of the extension beyond 12 months following the successful
completion of the contract.
Progress against the contract would be
subject to stage payments and a detailed review at 3 monthly intervals.
Interested parties should, in the first instance, provide a CV or
organisation précis showing how their expertise matches the role
specification and an outline of how they would approach the requirements
of the job description.
Selected parties would then be given a further
briefing to allow them to prepare a detailed tender document and there
would then be a subsequent selection for interview.
The closing date
to
submit the initial response is Monday 23rd April 2012.
