Aims & Objectives

The aim of the Materials Science Focus Group is to increase understanding and awareness of processes and technologies available within the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The group is to focus on physical properties of drug substances including crystallisation, salt formation, polymorphism, hydration, crystallinity, processing and amorphous materials.

The group aims to facilitate discussion and exchange of information between members on issues of solid form and best practices.
To provide a link between academia, small and large pharmaceutical companies and suppliers of analytical equipment.
To organise a symposium and/or workshop each year
