Scope

This focus group will cover issues in pharmaceutical compaction related to properties of materials, experimental methods, data analysis and interpretation. The group will have a broad view of studies using compaction simulators, instrumented tablet presses, and other compaction systems.

Aims

• To encourage the conduct and publication of research in the field of pharmaceutical compaction, including tablets, capsules and dry granulation.
• To provide a forum for discussion, and exchange of information, linking equipment suppliers and industrial and academic researchers in the field.
• To organise a symposium and/or workshop, each year.
